The React19 Podcast

Drew Outstanding, Retired Veteran | React19 Launches Military Chapter

Episode Notes

In the spring of 2021, Drew was a fit and healthy 36-year-old retired service member still actively serving in the Minnesota National Guard.

However, as vaccine mandates swept through the military, and mounting pressure from his job as well, he rolled up his sleeve and got the COVID vaccine.

What followed was life-altering: Drew was left paralyzed and diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a devastating autoimmune condition triggered by the shot.

In this episode of the React19 podcast, Drew shares his four-year battle with vaccine injury, and how he’s turning that pain into purpose by helping React19 launch a new chapter focused on supporting injured members of the military.

Drew's unwavering determination to keep moving forward is deeply inspiring and lays the foundation for a powerful legacy—one he hopes will shape his young son's future through his own example. After listening to this interview, it's clear just how fortunate his son is to have such a remarkable role model.

The Military Chapter, created by injured veterans for injured veterans, is here to bring the financial, physical, and emotional support of React19 to the military community.
